April Update

From the desk of Augustine House President, Daniel Macsay

It’s the fourth quarter now, and the school year is coming to an end. Here’s a summary of all the activities the houses have done since getting back from Spring Break. At the start of the quarter, all of the houses competed against each other to see who could complete a puzzle first. Though fast-paced, and at times stressful, the competition was a great opportunity for everyone to practice teamwork within their houses. The following Monday, Dr. Saucerman visited the school and taught the students about First Aid and CPR, the students then had the opportunity to practice what they learned on CPR mannequins. March 31st was board game day, and while I was not here for that day, I’m sure the houses all had fun. Last week, the houses participated in many of the games that will be played on field day. Because of this practice, each house got a feel for the games and could then plan accordingly; so that when field day arrived, they were ready for the real competition. The next Monday, everyone played Chalenj!, a fun game where everyone competes to be the best at different challenges. This quarter has definitely been an exciting end to an exciting school year!
