“At this time in House Culture, the competition is heating up. Lewis has recently dealt a massive blow to the hopes of Spurgeon surpassing them, and we now lead by over forty points in the quarter competition. This week, Spurgeon struck back, crushing the competition in a reenactment of an “Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader” episode. Ms. Mendez asked us questions from the 5th grade curriculum, and we went head to head with the 5th graders and other houses to see who could answer the most questions accurately. Spurgeon beat the rest of us, while still being dumber than the average fifth grader. The fifth graders ended up beating us all! The standing for the current competition is close with four points being the biggest lead.”
