From the desk of Spurgeon House President, Nathan Grogan
It’s the end of March. I’m Nathan Grogan, and this is the monthly house culture overview. During the month of March, the competition between the four logic and rhetoric “houses” at PPA became more intense. We had the opportunity to decorate classroom doors for Dr. Seuss day and read to younger students. After spring break, we had an opportunity to use our brains to solve a challenging puzzle while chatting and bonding with house members. The rhetoric males then learned about Biblical gender identity in a breakfast with Mr. Mahon, and then we moved into a CPR class, where a doctor who is the father of one of my housemates gave us an overview of what to do in situations like CPR and seizures. He even provided an accurate demonstration of what a seizure might look like. Speech meet is coming up faster than anyone expected, and Field Day is approaching as well. The house cup is on the line, and we are in the final stretch. Every interaction, every competition, every page of reading, and every moment counts. Who will come out on top?
