Music plays a beautiful role in classical education. Classical music exposes children to challenges and multi-sensory experiences, which enhance learning abilities and memory skills and encourage cognitive development. Music is central to how humans experience the world and behold the wonders of order and beauty that God created. Scripture tells us to sing about the wonderous works of God! Christian hymns and songs are full of rich, theological text. Singing connects us emotionally and therefore has such a unique way of bringing our heart, soul, mind, and strength together to focus entirely and completely on God. In an age of distraction, singing grabs the attention of all our senses and focuses us on God. The act of singing also uses both parts of the brain, therefore it can educate us and teach us about the gospel of Jesus Christ. When our voices are lifted in song, we show reverence and love for the Lord.
